LIMN: The Hotel — Chapter 1 Alpha
A first-person psychological horror experience set inside a vast, dark, and unstable hotel, featuring exploration, puzzles, escalating tension, and a future co-op campaign.
About LIMN
LIMN is a first-person psychological and atmospheric horror game focused on exploration, environmental storytelling, and challenging puzzles.
You take on the role of an investigator sent to examine a series of disturbing events at an isolated hotel resort hidden in the mountains. Previous teams were sent before you—but contact with them was lost.
Explore abandoned rooms and forgotten corridors, collect documents, uncover fragments of the hotel’s history, and solve the mysteries left behind. The deeper you go, the more unstable the hotel becomes.
Something is watching.
And this is only the beginning.
Chapter 1
This release contains the first chapter of Act I: The Hotel.
Chapter 1 serves as an introduction to the world of LIMN and its main gameplay systems. It is intentionally less difficult than the chapters planned for the future, allowing players to become familiar with exploration, item usage, puzzles, and the oppressive atmosphere of the hotel.
Future chapters are planned to introduce more complex puzzles, greater difficulty, expanded locations, hostile creatures, stealth, pursuit sequences, and additional systems.
Approximate playtime
15–35 minutes, depending on exploration and puzzle-solving.

Alpha / Prototype Notice
This is an early alpha prototype of LIMN and represents the first playable chapter of a much larger project.
The game is being developed by a solo developer, so you may encounter bugs, unfinished elements, balancing issues, incomplete settings, or features that will be changed in future versions.
This release is primarily intended to evaluate:
- Atmosphere and immersion
- Gameplay pacing
- Puzzle clarity and difficulty
- Environmental navigation
- Performance on different hardware
- Controls and item interactions
- The overall direction of the project
Your patience and feedback are greatly appreciated.
Single-Player and Future Multiplayer
The current alpha is single-player only.
LIMN is planned to feature two connected experiences:
- A single-player campaign set in the past, revealing the events that shaped the world of LIMN.
- A main campaign set in the present, designed to support solo play or online co-op for up to five players.
Multiplayer is still in development and is not available in this Chapter 1 alpha.

Developer’s Note
Hello! I’m André, the solo developer behind LIMN.
This project has been built with a great deal of care, experimentation, and an unhealthy amount of time spent wandering through dark hotel corridors.
LIMN is still at an early stage, but Chapter 1 establishes the atmosphere, story, and foundation for what I hope will become a much larger horror experience.
If you play the alpha, I would greatly appreciate hearing your thoughts—especially regarding:
- Did the hotel feel tense and atmospheric?
- How did you feel about the pacing?
- Were the puzzles understandable and satisfying?
- Did you ever feel completely lost or unsure of what to do?
- Did you encounter bugs or performance problems?
- What moments worked best for you?
- What would you most like to see in Chapter 2?
You can leave feedback in the itch.io comments or join the official LIMN Discord community to report bugs, discuss theories, and follow development.
Thank you for playing and supporting the development of LIMN.
The nightmare is only beginning.
